Preikestolen, Norway!
It was to cloudy to see the 600m drop off. 10 people fell off that day, mainly Italians... A few tourbus guides were pushing... Anyway. Preikestolen is in the south of Norway, Lysefjord. It is a few hours hike towards this place. Below there is a parking place which is crowded with tourists in summer time. So if you want to see Preikestolen for your self, not shared with hundreds of other tourists, it might be a good idear to start rather early (or come in winter). One last thing: don't go up there when it is cloudy or raining. Because then you won't see this incredible view

The Church of St. George or Bet Giyorgis in Lalibela, Ethiopia. Its roof is cut into the shape of a square cross, and visitors enter the church via stairs cut down into the volcanic rock. These stairways deepen into trenches that connect to a tunnel that opens to the base of the church and its entrance. Monolithic churches were carved out of the ground to which they are still attached. Eight hundred years ago the Ethiopian King Lalibela had a divine vision to carve a new Jerusalem from volcanic stone underneath his place of birth

Ki Gompa. This picture was taken when I visited the Buddhist Monastery of Ki. Ki is a tiny village in the middle of the Himalayas, and next to it is Ki Gompa (Ki Monastery). I lived with the monks for about a week, and this picture reflects the peaceful, almost heavenly atmosphere that characterizes this place. The Monastery is almost 4,000 meters high, and I had to climb almost 500 meters more to get this panorama. This place is a touch of heaven. (Photo and caption by Natalia Luzuriaga)
